3) Ask Isrizal
Check out our new segment! But it comes with a warning issued by Isrizal himself.
The interview was done after cups & cups of wine during Vasan's opening, eavesdropping on a singapore based foreign curator remarking the absence of an artist like Vasan practicing in singapore (ignorant!), thinking about the fate of the three other protesters in prison (well that's why i wore the t-shirt that day etc etc. more & more beers later. words escape me. facts burst like bubbles. i stammered to steady myself, i minced my words, repeated certain ideas like holding to dear life, had difficulties trying to say "international" (i would rather sing it!) that i 'internalized' it hahaha. i'd stand by them knowing fully well even when the art stop, we are still citizens of this state. with obligation & responsibilities to actualize this beast called democracy that we proclaim. which constitutes, freedom of speech, to assemble etc. also the very basis for art practice. i don't hold any moral highground on art in singapore yet i'd vehemently object to any effort to take away the politics from art. it was over before it even started.

I am shocked that no one especially in the arts scene has given any comments or feedback.. or maybe even tune in to The Wire at all. Come on guys show some support. Are you guys hiding?
I will be harsh now to say that the arts community should speak up. Even more to encourage people in the public to speak up as well. Critisism can be constructive. Of course you'd think about it before shooting your mouth off.
Thank you Tien and Simon, well done!
